Origin: Russia Created in the Volga region several hundred years ago by crossing together Turmani and Statnije breeds.
Overall Impression: Medium sized pigeon with a shaking neck and rounding head. Wings carried below the tail. Groused legs. Vivid and elegant Courtyard Tumbler with a ribbontail.
Head: Rounding with a frontal that is as wide and high as possible. Plain headed or shellcrested.
Eyes: Pearl in Borodunski marked. Prudije marked birds have bull eyes. Eye cere prominent and pale in color.
Beak: Nearly medium length. Downset and light in color.
Neck: Wide at the base and tapering towards the head. Bending backwards and trembling when the bird is in action.
Breast: Wide and full. Well rounding and carried slightly uplifted.
Back: Wide and long, sweeping towards the tail.
Wings: Carried below the tail and touching the floor.
Tail: Long and wide. Carried slightly uplifted and flat. More than 12 retrices. White tailband.
Legs: Very short and thick. Groused.
Colors: Dominant Red and Yellow, both with a ribbon tail. Colors rich and intense, but lightening in the rump and tail.
Markings: "Prudije" - White are a small area around the eyes, cheeks and under the chin, wings, back, belly, thighs, foot feathering and a wide band in the tail. Colored is the frontal, top skull, neck, breast, shoulders, rump and tail. "Borodunski" - White is a long beard from just below the juncture of the beak jaws and rounding to the base of the nape, the belly, thighs, foot feathering a wide band in the tail and secondaries and 6 to 10 white flights. Colored are the frontal, cheeks, breast, wing shield, back, rump and tail excepting the white band in the secondaries and tail retrices.
Grave Faults: Crude body. Clean legs. Flights always carried upon the tail. Shaking the neck while walking. Too long of beak. Gross mismarking. Long legs. Irregular tailband.
